GENERAL
The following terms and conditions and any other related rules that are adopted by BUTANI and made available as provided herein (collectively, the “Conditions of Sale”) shall apply to all sales of products that you (the “Customer” or “you”) may order from BUTANI Jewellery (“BUTANI”, or referred to herein as “us”, “our” or “we”) on the Internet via the BUTANI Website, identified by the domain name https://butani.com (the “Website”).
These Conditions of Sale are applicable to any order placed through the Website. If you refuse to accept these Conditions of Sale, you will not be able to order any BUTANI products from the Website. Sales concluded through BUTANI authorized retailers or physical points of sale are not subject to these Conditions of Sale.
Your use of the Website is governed by our Terms of Use. In addition, our information collection practices, such as the types of information we collect regarding visitors to the Website, and the ways in which we may use and protect that information, are further set out in our Privacy Policy. Persons wishing to use the Website will also be deemed, by virtue of such use, to have agreed to be bound by the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated into these Conditions of Sale by reference (and are available here: Terms of Use & Privacy Policy.
The Conditions of Sale, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy may be updated at any time by us without notice.
PURCHASING ELIGIBILITY
Only individuals (and not legal entities) who (a) have reached the age of eighteen (18), (b) have legal capacity to enter contracts and (c) have a shipping address in the country or countries listed in Clause 13 may order products through the Website. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) or otherwise cannot lawfully enter into a contract, you must have your parent or guardian place an order on your behalf and thereby assent to these Conditions of Sale.
By placing an order through the Website, you represent and warrant that you are a bona fide end-user customer and will not deliver, sell, or otherwise distribute BUTANI products or purchase BUTANI products for commercial purposes or any other commercial benefit.
PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & QUANTITY
All orders placed through on the Website are subject to availability and acceptance by BUTANI.
Quantity limits may apply in relation to certain products. BUTANI further reserves the right to refuse at any moment in time, without prior notice, orders exceeding a certain number of authorized products.
ORDERS
If you are ordering on the Website, follow the instructions during the checkout process to complete your order. At the end of the checkout process, we will ask for your credit card details, after which your order will be confirmed. Your order confirmation, delivery notification and invoice will be sent via email to the address provided during checkout. Once an order has been accepted by BUTANI, it cannot be cancelled or modified.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary provided for herein, BUTANI reserves the right to refuse, cancel and terminate orders at any moment in time. For example, BUTANI may refuse, terminate or cancel your order if there is an ongoing dispute concerning payment of a prior order or if BUTANI suspects, in its sole discretion, that you have engaged in fraudulent or grey market activities or have otherwise violated these Conditions of Sale or the policies incorporated herein by reference.
We may cancel orders and process refunds due to any pricing errors. If any unforeseen issues arise with your order, we will contact you directly for resolution.
PRICES, TAX AND SHIPPING COSTS
All prices shown on butani.com are in U.S. Dollars. BUTANI reserves the right to modify prices and delivery costs at any time without prior notice. The price of a product and delivery costs displayed on the Website, at the time BUTANI provides you with a Confirmation of Order, will be honoured by BUTANI.
Duty and customs tariffs are set by the local government. The amount of applicable duty, tariffs and taxes will vary and be determined upon our acceptance and confirmation of your order. The purchaser is responsible for paying all applicable duties and taxes related to each item purchased.
Delivery costs, if any, are described in the shipping policy set forth below and specified on the Website. Sales and taxes will vary based on the location to which products are being shipped. Delivery costs and estimated sales and taxes are not stated on the product pages but will be added to the product price, if applicable, after you have chosen your delivery location and options.
Please note that changes to applicable law between the date your order is placed and the date you are sent a Confirmation of Order may result in changes to the sales tax associated with your purchase. If the resulting change is an increase in the sales tax you are charged, we will contact you and ask that you reconfirm your purchase.
PAYMENT
The current payment methods accepted for online purchases are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. If payment is not accepted online, please contact your bank for approval or select an alternative form of payment.
Your billing address, phone number and email must match the information on your credit card statement. Full payment is due before any order is processed. Only 1 form of payment is accepted per order, multiple payment methods will not be processed.
All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to BUTANI, you will need to contact your card issuer directly to solve this problem.
In order to process your order, we may perform security checks on your credit card. The full amount of your purchase will be blocked on your credit card until your order is shipped to the shipping address you have provided to BUTANI, at which point in time you will be sent a Confirmation of Order and your credit card will be charged the applicable purchase price. By submitting an offer to purchase BUTANI products on the Website you expressly authorize BUTANI to perform security checks, where BUTANI deems necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to your credit-card number, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorization and to authorize individual purchase transactions.
REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION
You should carefully check and confirm all details on the payment page before placing your order.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF ORDER
Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed on the Website, you will receive an Acknowledgment of Order in writing (by email or otherwise), acknowledging the details of your order. Please make sure that you save this Order Reference Number for any future enquiries regarding your order. This Acknowledgment of Order is not an acceptance of your order. Following the transmission of the Acknowledgment of Order, BUTANI will conduct its usual credit, anti-fraud, security and related legal checks and, if acceptable, will then process your order.
These Conditions of Sale will be provided to you with the Acknowledgment of Order. Please carefully review these Conditions of Sale upon receipt.
CONFIRMATION OF ORDER
Upon shipment of your order, following completion by BUTANI of its anti-fraud, security and related legal checks, BUTANI will send you in writing (by email or otherwise) a written Confirmation of Order. The Written Confirmation of Order constitutes the acceptance of your order by BUTANI and indicates the existence of a binding sales contract.
PROOF OF AGREEMENT
The Acknowledgment of Order and Confirmation of Order that are sent to you are deemed to be received when you are able to access them.
The Acknowledgment of Order, Confirmation of Order and any automatic recording systems used by the Customer Service Department or the Website will be proof of a binding agreement between you and BUTANI.
CUSTOM ORDERS
While not all BUTANI pieces are customisable, we are happy to work with you to accommodate your request for a custom order. If you wish to enclose a personalised gift note with your purchase, BUTANI gives you the option to include this upon checkout. You may place a special order by filling out the custom order form on the website. Made to order pieces will take 4-6 weeks to ship. Orders will not be produced until full payment is made.
At BUTANI, we offer an engraving service to personalise your jewellery with a short message, name, initials or memorable date. Please click here for further information.
Please note engraved or embossed and custom orders are Final Sale and cannot be returned for exchange or store credit.
PACKING AND GIFT BOXES
All BUTANI purchases are dispatched in a signature BUTANI jewel box, embossed with the maison’s logo and finished inside with a soft suedette lining to cushion and protect your jewel. In addition to a luxurious gift box, every purchase is packaged in a BUTANI shopping bag, finished in the maison’s colours of royal blue and metallic gold and tied with a coordinating grosgrain ribbon to elevate your gift-giving experience.
Each gift box also includes a BUTANI Certificate of Authenticity to accompany your jewel.
SHIPPING POLICY
Online purchases made on butani.com can only be shipped to addresses within Hong Kong, Qatar, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. For shipping to other locations, please contact us at customercare@butani.com.
Your BUTANI order will ship in 3-6 weeks. However, should you require the piece sooner, please get in touch with us at customercare@butani.com before placing your order.
After your item is shipped, packages are received within 2-5 business days. Once you place your order, you will receive the tracking number upon shipment. BUTANI offers complimentary shipping for domestic and international orders.
Boutique pick-up may be offered, free of charge, to certain locations. Please refer to the Website or email us at customercare@butani.com for more information. BUTANI will inform you by email or by telephone when the product is ready for pick-up at the boutique.
If you order several products, BUTANI will ship the order only once all products are available.
We will use commercially reasonable endeavours to deliver the products, or to ensure the delivery by our third party shipping provider, on the estimated delivery date mentioned in your order.
When estimating package delivery time, please allow time for credit approval, address verification and order processing. Please note that it is always subject to receiving your full payment.
DELIVERY
All orders require a signature upon delivery. Additional charges may accrue if more than 1 delivery attempt is made. BUTANI does not ship to Post Office Boxes. Deliveries will only occur on Monday through Friday.
Orders will not be shipped or delivered on National Holidays. Delays in shipping are not the responsibility of BUTANI.
INVOICES
When ordering products on the Website or Customer Service Department, you will receive, as the buyer, an invoice that will be sent to you in writing. You may also at any time later request an invoice by emailing us at customercare@butani.com. BUTANI may request that you provide proper identification as a condition to comply with such request.
RETURN POLICY
At BUTANI, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, you receive your order and are not satisfied, we will gladly accept items for exchange or store credit within 7 days of receipt of purchase.
Items for exchange will be inspected before they are accepted. Exchanges and store credits will be processed for accepted items, excluding original shipping fees and taxes. Return shipping costs are non-refundable.
Please note that items must be returned in a new and unused state, in original condition, with all protective materials in place and tags and stickers attached to them (if applicable), and with the original BUTANI box and delivery package, including all accessories and documents. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange if the product shows signs of wear or has been used or altered from its original condition in any way. All personalised jewellery is Final Sale and non-returnable.
Exchanges and store credits will not be permitted after 7 days of receipt of purchase. BUTANI does not offer any refunds on returned items and only permits exchanges or store credit for use on butani.com, which is valid for 12 months from the time of your initial purchase.
To exchange an item purchased on butani.com, please contact email us at customercare@butani.com within 7 days of receipt. When we have received a request from you, we will provide you with instructions on how to exchange your item.
LEGAL GUARANTEE
In your capacity as consumer, you may have legal rights under Hong Kong law governing the sale of consumer goods; those legal rights are not affected by these Conditions of Sale.
REPAIRS
For any repair inquiries relating to a product ordered online, please contact our Customer Service Department at customercare@butani.com.
ACCURACY OF PRICING, PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
While BUTANI endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information it places on the Website, it makes no guarantees, whether express or implied, in relation to the accuracy, reliability and completeness of such information. BUTANI does not confirm the price of a BUTANI product until an Order Confirmation has been issued by BUTANI, indicating the existence of a binding sales contract. If a BUTANI product’s correct price is higher than the price posted on our Website, then BUTANI will either contact the you for instructions before shipping the order or, if BUTANI cannot obtain your instructions, reject the order and notify you of such rejection. If the order is rejected and you have already paid for the product, you will receive a full refund.
FINAL PROVISIONS

Entire Agreement. The Conditions of Sale, including policies incorporated herein (e.g., Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and BUTANI regarding your purchase of BUTANI products through the Customer Service Department or the Website, and supersede any prior conditions of sale.
Severability. In the event that any provision of the Conditions of Sale shall be determined to be partially void or unenforceable by any court having jurisdiction and for any reason whatsoever, it shall be void or unenforceable to that extent only and no further and the validity and enforceability of any of the other provisions of the Conditions of Sale shall not be affected.
GOVERNING LAW
These Conditions of Sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
JURISDICTION
The courts of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Conditions of Sale.
Without any restriction to bring proceedings before a court, you and BUTANI will first make reasonable efforts for a period of thirty (30) days to resolve amicably any dispute or failure to agree that may arise out of or relate to the product, the Conditions of Sale or any breach thereof.
